6.  Perform the IO exercise

Intraosseous Access

17-16 gauge

Draining the Tibia

After a simulation is complete, 

1.  Place a drainage tube in the 

Left Leg

 into a container and 

open the clamp

2.  Fill the syringe with a solution 

of alcohol and water (30:70) 
and connect it to 

Tube 1

3.  Push in the fluid until the blood 

is clear

4.  Then, fill a syringe with air and 

connect it to the hose from 

Right Leg

5.  Push air through the vasculature 

to remove the remaining fluid
