b) Flight Batteries
Attention!
After the flight, the flight battery must be disconnected from the electronics system of the quadrocopter. Do not
leave the rechargeable flight battery connected to the model if the latter is not used (e.g. during transport or
storage). Otherwise, the LiPo flight battery may be fully discharged and is thus destroyed/unusable! There is also
a danger of malfunction due to interferences. The propellers could start up inadvertently and cause damage or
injury.
• Never charge the flight battery right after use. Always leave the LiPo flight battery to cool off first (at least 5 - 10 minutes).
• To charge LiPo rechargeable batteries, always use a LiPo charger and a LiPo equalizer/balancer.
• Only charge intact and undamaged batteries. If the outer isolation of the rechargeable battery is damaged or the battery
is deformed or bloated, it must not be charged. There is acute danger of fire or explosion!
• Never damage the outer shell of the flight battery, do not cut the foil cover, do not puncture the flight battery with pointed
objects. There is a risk of fire and explosion!
• Remove the flight battery from the model before charging and put it on fire-proof underground. Keep a distance to
flammable objects.
• Always charge rechargeable batteries with the current indicated by the manufacturer and observe that the permissible
maximum values are not exceeded.
• Since both the charger and the flight battery will heat up during charging, ensure sufficient ventilation. Never cover the
charger and flight battery! Of course this also applies for other chargers and rechargeable batteries.
• Never leave batteries unattended while charging them.
• Disconnect the flight battery from the charger when it is charged completely.
• Chargers and rechargeable batteries must not get damp or wet.
Attention!
There is danger to life from electric shock. There is also the risk of fire or explosion by the rechargeable battery.
Rechargeable LiPo batteries in particular are very susceptible to moisture due to the chemicals they contain!
Do not expose the charger or LiPo flight battery to high/low temperatures or to direct solar radiation. When
handling LiPo batteries, observe the special safety information of the battery manufacturer!
