1 Overview
Gatekeeper’s stop arm camera system enables
the capture of stop arm violators day or night
with stunning clarity. The system is designed to capture high resolution video of vehicles that
pass a school bus when its stop arm is extended.
The stop arm camera system consists of three components:

AI282s camera

Digital Video Recorder
The SP25 camera is a high-performance license plate reading camera that eliminates motion
blur caused by vehicles traveling at speeds up to (60 mph / 100 kph). The AI282s camera utilizes
Artificial Intelligence (AI) to detect vehicles as they enter a detection zone when the stop arm is
deployed. When this condition exists, DVR recording is automatically triggered. This
functionality ensures that video is captured only when a stop arm event takes place. This
reduces the quantity of video that is recorded or transmitted wirelessly and the number of video
events that a video analyst must review to identify incidents.
