13. After each usage, you should rinse glass container and cutting assembly immedi-
ately under running tap water to remove coarse residues of food. Then clean the
appliance according to the instructions in chapter ‘Care and Cleaning’.
SOLVING PROBLEMS
If any problems occur during operation, you will find solutions in this section.

The motor doesn’t start
AND/OR
the cutting assembly
doesn’t rotate.
The appliance is not live.
Ensure that the appliance is connected to a
suitable wall power outlet. Ensure that the
wall power outlet is live by connecting a
lamp.
The appliance is not assembled cor-
rectly. Safety interlocks prevent the
motor from starting.
Ensure that the motor unit is engaged correct-
ly on the lid. Turn the motor unit a little to
and fro until it settles on the lid.
The blades are blocked.
Immediately release the ON/OFF button
and unplug the appliance. Then remove the
obstacle (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’). Remove
all hard parts of your food before processing.
Only process food suited to the DESIGN MINI
CHOPPER PLUS.
There is too much food in the glass
container.
Immediately release the ON/OFF button.
Remove some food from the glass container.
Avoid overfilling the appliance (see: ‘Tips for
Best Results’).
There is a severe problem.
Immediately release the ON/OFF button and
unplug the appliance. Call your customer
service for support. See: ‘Information and
Service’.
