CLEANING THE STEAM WAND
WARNING—RISK OF BURNS!
During use and even shortly thereafter, hot water
and steam could escape from the steam wand and the steam wand will be hot. Do not
hold your hands or any delicate objects at the steam wand tip while the steam wand is
still hot. Ensure that the steam wand always points to the drip tray, when not in use.
IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE
Note:
After every use, thoroughly wipe the steam wand and tip with a damp cloth, then pur-
ge immediately. Otherwise, the milk texturing performance may be affected due to
blockage of the steam nozzle within the steam wand tip.
1. Ensure that the control dial is in the central stand by position.
2. After each usage, carefully wipe the steam wand tip using a soft damp cloth, taking
care not to touch the metal parts of the steam wand with your skin. Thereafter, by
the handle move the steam wand over the drip tray.
3. Press the SELECT button to select the hot water function. Then, while ensuring to keep
your hands away from the steam wand, turn the control dial to the right steam positi-
on. The appliance will give off hot water via the steam wand, thus purging residues
of milk from the nozzle (a small hole) in the steam wand tip.
4. Ensure to turn the control dial back to the central standby position.
Note:
If the water only drips from the steam wand, the nozzle in the steam wand tip may
be clogged. Proceed according to the following instruction to remove the obstacle.
