Problem
Reason
The Solution
Too many lime deposits
on the heating plate.
Descale the kettle in time to avoid overheating (see:
‘Care and Cleaning’).
The power socket or
power connector of the
power base or kettle are
damaged.
Immediately unplug the appliance. Return the appliance to
an authorised service centre for examination and repair.
Do
not remove the kettle from the power base,
while the kettle is switched on
, to avoid damage
to the electrical connectors. Switch off the kettle first (on/
off switch gets dark).
The water is boiling, but the
kettle does not switch off
OR the kettle switches off
belatedly.
After first bubbles appear,
some seconds are required
for reaching the set tem-
perature.
This is normal. The time duration until shut-off depends
on the amount of water in the kettle.
The lid is missing or not
close correctly.
For operation, the kettle must be closed correctly via the
lid. Otherwise, the automatic shut-off cannot work pro-
perly. Press the lid onto the kettle until it engages with
a click.

1. Leave the kettle cool down completely. Then rinse the interior of the kettle with
clear water. Regularly, clean the interior of the kettle via a soft nylon brush or cloth.
2. Wash the lid in warm dishwater and thoroughly rinse with clear water.
