Operation
The Electric Knife works extremely quick and is designed only for short time operation of
max. 5 minutes. If you need it for longer, switch it off after 5 minutes and allow the motor
to cool for 3 minutes.
The appliance has a biased-on switch with safety lock, which prevents switching on of
the appliance if the switch is not handled correctly.
If the motor slows down or can not reach its normal speed, then release the on button, and
unplug the appliance from the wall power outlet. Check whether there is any obstruction
between the blades, and remove it. Act upon instructions ‘Care and Cleaning’.
Before first use
After unpacking, remove all promotional and packing materials as well as any foreign objects.
Before first use and after a long period of storage, clean the blades and the appliance
with a damp sponge and warm soapy water (see ‘Care and Cleaning’). Before
connecting the appliance to the mains power supply, always ensure that the appliance
is assembled correctly, according to the following instructions.
Always
release the on
button, wait until the motor stops and unplug the appliance before assembling or
dismantling. The appliance is not developed for cutting extremely hard food, such as
bones or seeds of fruits.
1. Place the container on a suitable, stable, dry, and clean working surface.
(see: ‘Safeguards for Daily Operation’).
2. Connect the two blades before you insert them into the handle.
WARNING:
Moving the on switch the motor does function even when the blades are not
correctly assembled. Do not place your fingers in the blade slot of the handle. The blades
of the knife insert are extremely sharp! Do not touch the blades. Always grasp the knife
insert by the safety guards.
Interlock blades together before inserting into the appliance. To assemble blades, grasp
shaft ends below the safety guards. Take the blade with the rivet in your left hand. The
rivet should be facing upright and the safety guard downward. With the right hand you
take the other blade (safety guard facing upright). This blade has a hole and a narrow
channel.
Bring blades together ensuring tips remain together (see Diagram).
WARNING:
Ensure that the blades are correctly connected to
avoid personal injury. The safety guards should be facing the
outside and the blades are not getting easily taken apart.
