any other material or foreign objects, to avoid injuries and dama-
ge due to fire, electric shock, over-heating, and harmful substances.
To avoid damage to the appliance: Always completely remove any
extremely hard and inedible parts of your food, before processing
(i.e. shells, stones, stalks). Splinters of extremely hard parts could be
sharp-edged and cause injuries, when getting into your food. Do not
process frozen or hot food. Do not operate the appliance continuo-
usly for more than 15 minutes to avoid overheating and for ensuring
a prolonged working life. After 15 minutes of continuous operation,
make a break of at least 30 minutes (see: ‘Properties of Your New
Juicer / Method of Operation and Making Breaks’). Before opera-
ting the juicing system, ensure to open the drip-stop shutter of the
juice spout (folded up position). To avoid overflow of the juice colle-
ctor and blockage during juicing, ensure that the juices are running
through the juice spout without obstacles and the pulp is falling easily
and freely through the pulp outlet. Empty the containers for juice and
pulp in time.
Under no circumstances
, allow the juice collector to be
filled above the upper rim of the separating mesh.
• Always ensure to assemble the appliance correctly and completely,
before switching on the appliance. Do not let the appliance operate,
while it is empty. Do not handle the appliance or any part of it with
violence.
• Do not use any hard or sharp-edged objects with the appliance (e.g.
forks, knives, scrapers). If required, only use the provided pusher for
pushing down your food.
• Always switch off the appliance (power switch to the central position
“O”), and unplug the appliance, before removing the juicing system,
or cleaning or moving the motor base.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaners, cleaning pads (e.g. metal scou-
ring pads), or any corrosive chemicals (e.g. bleach, disinfectants) for
cleaning (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’). Discolourations caused by some
types of food do not affect the performance of the appliance.
Do not
place the motor base in an automatic dishwasher!
