Detailed view of the test cell FlexCell
Counter electrode compartment (1)
Only test cells with a tubular arrangement with equally sized measuring and counter
electrodes guarantee a parallel field line distribution.
Parallel field lines in turn guarantee parallel equipotential surfaces and thus a
reproducible potential measurement, as the reference electrode measures on these
potential surfaces.
Gaskatel test cells have such parallel field lines, as the working and counter electrodes
have the same size and are arranged parallel to each other due to the tubular electrolyte
space.
To minimise water vapour losses, the cell is closed with a cover made of PSU (2).
