MULTI FUNCTION DISPLAY

7.6 FLIGHT PLANS

The G1000 can create up to 99 different ﬂight plans

with up to 31 waypoints in each ﬂight plan. The ﬂight
plan (FPL) page group consists of three pages:

•  Active Flight Plan
•  Flight Plan Catalog
•  Vertical Navigation

The Flight Plan Pages are used to create, edit and copy

ﬂight plans. The Vertical Navigation Page is used to create
a three-dimensional proﬁle which guides the aircraft to a
ﬁnal (target) altitude at a speciﬁed location.

ACTIVE FLIGHT PLAN PAGE

The Active Flight Plan Page provides information

and  editing  functions  for  the  ﬂight  plan  currently  in
use  for  navigation.  Once  a  Direct-to  or  ﬂight  plan  has
been  activated,  the  Active  Flight  Plan  Page  shows  the
following:

• Each waypoint for the ﬂight plan (or a single

waypoint for a Direct-to), along with the desired
track (DTK) and distance of each leg (DIS).

• Active leg information with enroute safe altitude

(ESA) for the speciﬁed leg.

• Active FPL information with enroute safe altitude

(ESA)

• Flight plan information showing remaining leg

and remaining total distance, and enroute safe
altitude for the entire route.

The data ﬁelds are user-selectable and can be changed

to display the following:

•  Cumulative Distance (CUM)
•  Distance (DIS)
•  Desired Track (DTK)
•  Enroute Safe Altitude (ESA)
•  Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)
•  Estimated Time Enroute (ETE)
