Press the

TMR/REF

Softkey, then turn the large

FMS

Knob to highlight the

Flight ID field.

Turn the small

FMS

Knob to enter the first character.

Turn the large

FMS

Knob to select the next field.

Turn the small

FMS

Knob to enter the next desired character.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the desired Flight ID is entered.

Press the

ENT

Key. In the FLT ID field, ‘updating’ is momentarily displayed.

Do not perform any other G1000 functions until ‘updating’ is no longer
displayed.

AdF tuning (optionAl)

Press the

ADF/DME

Softkey.

Turn the small

FMS

Knob to enter the first digit of the desired ADF

frequency.

Turn the large

FMS

Knob to select the next desired field.

Turn the small

FMS

Knob to enter the desired number.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the desired ADF frequency is entered.

Press the

ENT

Key to accept the new frequency.

Press the

ENT

Key again to transfer the frequency to the active field.

Turn the large

FMS

Knob to select the MODE field.

Turn the small

FMS

Knob to select ANT, ADF, ADF/BFO, or ANT/BFO.
