4. Initial Operation
The universal connector
1
can be used to connect
³⁄₄
"
(for FSP
3500 only)
, 1
" , 1
¹⁄₄
" and 1
¹⁄₂
" hoses.
To achieve the best pumping results (maximum delivery rate of
the pump) use a 38 mm (1
¹⁄₂
" )-hose. We recommend that you
secure all hoses using GARDENA Hose Clips art. no. 7192 /
7195.
1. Depending on the hose, cut away the parts of the universal
connector
1
you do not need using a saw.
Otherwise loss of performance could occur.
2. Screw universal connector
1
onto the pump.
3. FSP 5500 - FSP 16000 : Pay attention that the O-ring
z
O
is
inserted correctly.
4. Connect hose to the universal connector
1
.
Only for FSP 12000 Economic / FSP 16000 Economic :
1. Undo screws
6
(transit support).
2. Press in snap fastening
2
and open up the filter housing
3
.
3. Set switch
4
to the position wanted On / Off.
On = AEC switched on
Off = AEC switched off
4. Close the filter housing
3
and fit the screws
6
back into
place, if applicable.
If using a pond filter, separate the filter outlet and the pump by
as much distance as possible in the pond. This will achieve the
best possible cleaning effect for the pond water.
v
Note the maximum submersion depth (see 9. Technical Data).
1. Place the pump in the water in such a way that the filter
housing
3
is covered by at least 20 cm of water.
2. Plug mains plug into an AC socket.
Warning : Pump will start immediately.
For infinitely variable control of the flow rate and in case of 2 con-
nection points (e.g. simultaneous operation of stream and filter),
the GARDENA 2-way Regulator Valve Art. 7867
5
can be used.
