5. During transport, stabilise the workpiece by grasping the corners and keep it in a horizontal position.
6. Deposit the workpiece on stable flat ground.
7. To unlock the switch lever, grasp the switch lever and push the safety locking bar back.
8. Swing the switch lever clockwise to "OFF" at the stop position.
NOTICE! Damage to the workpiece. Lightweight workpieces can remain attached even after the magnet has
been switched off.

SWITCHING THE WORKPIECE INTO A HORIZONTAL POSITION OR A VERTICAL POSITION

Contact area between magnet and workpiece cleaned.
1. Position the pole shoe stops under the bottom edge of the workpiece.
2. Position the magnet above the centre of gravity of the workpiece.
3. Check the position of the stops. If necessary, push the workpiece firmly against the stops.
CAUTION! Crush hazard for the body and individual limbs. The pole shoes area in contact with the workpiece
must be as large as possible. The pole shoes must have the same contact area with the workpiece as each
other.
4. Swing the switch lever through 135° anticlockwise to "ON" at the stop position.

The safety locking bar retracts automatically then moves forward again.
5. Once the safety locking bar has locked in position, release the switch lever.
6. To check secure attachment, use the magnet to raise the workpiece a few centimetres, then cautiously strike the work-
piece.
7. Lift the workpiece slowly until it reaches the desired position.
8. Deposit the workpiece on stable flat ground.
9. To unlock the switch lever, grasp the switch lever and push the safety locking bar back.
10. Swing the switch lever clockwise to "OFF" at the stop position.

Before each use
Check the lifting magnet for externally evident damage, defects and for
good condition.
Clean all contact faces, file off any burrs and unevenness.
Check the switch lever and safety locking bar for good condition.
Weekly
Check for deformation, cracks and other damage.
Replace the crane eye if it is bent or worn away by more than 7 %.
Check the condition of the pole shoes. If necessary, have them reground
by Hoffmann Group Customer Service.
Check the lifting capacity.
Yearly
Have the lifting capacity checked by Hoffmann Group Customer Service.
9.
Cleaning
Use a dry or slightly moistened cloth for cleaning. Do not use any chemical, alcohol or solvent-based cleaning agents.
10. Storage
Store only in the switched off condition. Store in the original packaging or box, protected from light, free of dust in a dry
place.
11. Replacement parts
Use only original replacement parts and wearing parts.
