GARANT Comfort Close
1. General information
Read and observe the operating instructions, keep them as a reference for later and ensure they are accessible at
all times.
2. Safety
2.1. SYMBOLS AND MEANS OF REPRESENTATION
CAUTION
Indicates a hazard which if not avoided may lead to minor or moderate injury.
2.2. INTENDED USE
 For mounting on GridLine drawers with a red lock and a depth of 350 mm to 600 mm (14 G to 24 G).
 For slow and damped closing of the drawer.
 Size 75 for drawers with a load capacity of 75 kg.
Size 200 for drawers with a load capacity of 200 kg.
 Comply with the maximum load-bearing capacity.
2.3. REASONABLY FORESEEABLE MISUSE
 Do not mount in drawers with a grey lock.
 Do not close drawers forcefully.
2.4. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Wear protective gloves during assembly.
3. Assembly
CAUTION
Drawers
Crush hazard for the hands and feet during insertion, removal and closure of the drawer.
»
Wear foot protection and safety gloves.
» Make sure the workbench is standing securely.
» Before starting work, apply the parking brakes on the castors.
3.1. REMOVING THE DRAWERS

1. Pull out the drawer.
2. Pull out the locking mechanism and swing it upwards. Remove the drawer.
3.2. CARRIER ON SLIDE

1. Mount the carrier on slide in the cabinet at the level of the two punched holes.
2. Press carrier down in order to clip hooks into punched holes.
» Size 200: the four pins of carrier must clip into the four holes of the slide.
3.3. DAMPING SYSTEM ON DRAWER MOUNTING

ü Note the direction markings.
1. Position the damping system in accordance with the direction markings on the underside of the drawer mounting.
2. Position hooks of the drawer mounting into the punched holes of the damping system.
3. Press damping system against the hooks of the drawer mounting.
4. Carefully hammer the damping system using a rubber mallet.
» Hooks of the drawer mounting and the damping system are connected.
5. In order to tension spring, move red damping spring in the direction of the cabinet.
3.4. INSERTING THE DRAWERS

1. Pull out the pull-out rails and secure them.
2. Insert the drawer and push it in until you sense resistance.
3. Lift the drawer up and push it over the resistance until it is fully inserted on the rails.
