Distances to combustible materials above the stove:

As  there  are  many  possible  configurations  of  potential  fireplace  furnishings  above  the
stove (e.g. timber fireplaces, beams, etc.), each with their own physical properties, it is
not possible to provide absolute guidance on exact distances.  Materials above the stove
are far more likely to overheat than those beside or underneath.  As a guide, the limiting
temperature for SOLID timber is +60°C above ambient room temperature.  Please refer to
all associated product and building regulations for further guidance.

Distances to NON-combustible materials:

The  stove  can  be  recessed  into  a  suitably  sized  fireplace  built  from  non-combustible
materials, but a permanent free air gap of at least 100mm should be left around the sides
and top to obtain maximum heat output and for access to the rear of the stove.
