Low Ba ery:
When the ba ery is low, the energizer will automa cally switch to Ba ery Save Mode (pulse every 2.7 seconds) to
conserve power.
Ba ery Save Mode:
Ba ery life can be extended with Ba ery Save Mode (pulse every
2.7 seconds) via switch 1 on the back of the energizer. Mains/ba ery
light will always
fl ash between red and green.
Ba ery Protec on:
The energizer automa cally protects the ba ery from deep discharge by disconnec ng the ba ery when it is fl at. (Deep
discharge may cause permanent damage to your ba ery). The ba ery will be automa cally reconnected when the ba ery
voltage increases.

IMPORTANT
:
It is not recommended to leave the ba ery charger permanently connected to the ba ery.
During charging, place lead acid ba eries in a well-ven lated area. Do not obstruct the ba ery vents at any me.
Use only rechargeable ba eries. Do not connect to ba eries of any other voltage (eg. 24/36V).
Only use a ba ery which is suited to back-up or cyclic applica ons. The recommended type is a 12V deep cycle lead acid
rechargeable ba ery.
For improved ba ery life, keep the ba ery fully charged and protect it from temperature extremes. The Energizer will not
recharge a ba ery that has been completely discharged. The Energizer trickle charges the ba ery, so that the ba ery’s
charge is maintained. Test the ba ery every 6 months.
Charging the battery:
When ba ery is fl at, it can be recharged by a mains ba ery charger or solar panel, while the ba ery is connected to the
Energizer.
A solar panel can be used in conjunc on with a ba ery to ensure your ba ery is kept charged and can be used to recharge
fl at ba eries.

HANDY HINT
5. The “ON/Standby” light is not fl ashing on the Energizer. If it is, this means there is high electrical interference on the
fence causing the Energizer to ignore the Remote Control signal. Refer to “Remote Control electrical interference”
sec on above.
