Chapter 5 Integrated Components
Overview
When ordered, the following integrated amplifiers and stepper drives will reside inside the box of the DMC-3x01x
motion controller. These amplifiers and drives provide power to the motors in the system.
800W Sinusoidally Commutated Amplifier
The DMC-30012 provides a sinusoidally commutated, 16 bit PWM amplifier for driving brushless and brush-type
servo motors. It is capable of providing 800 watts of continuous power. The DMC-30012 drive module is enclosed in
the metal enclosure of the DMC-30012. The standard amplifier accepts DC supply voltages from 20-60 VDC.
Microstepping Stepper Drive
The DMC-30016 is a configurable (full, half, 1/4 and 1/16) microstepping drive for operating two-phase bipolar
stepper motors. It is capable of providing a selectable current between 0.5 and 1.4 Amps/Phase. The DMC-30016
drive module is enclosed in the metal enclosure of the DMC-30016. The standard amplifier accepts DC supply
voltages from 12-30 VDC.
800W Configurable Servo Amp/Stepper Drive
This amplifier is unique in that it can run either servo or stepper motors.
The DMC-30017 is a sinusoidally commutated, 16 bit PWM amplifiers for driving brushless and brush-type servo
motors. The AMP-43547 can also be configured by the user as 1/256 microstepping drives for operating two-phase
bipolar stepper motors.
The DMC-30017 is capable of providing 800 watts of continuous power per axis when configured for a servo. The
DMC-30017 drive module is enclosed in the metal enclosure of the DMC-30017. The standard amplifier accepts DC
supply voltages from 20-60 VDC.
