In addition to the sound of the player hitting the keyboard directly to the strings, the
acoustic piano has a unique string resonance phenomenon caused by sound interference
between the piano strings. This feature allows you to adjust the string resonance volume
of the acoustic piano sounds.
When you play the damper pedal on a traditional acoustic piano, in addition to the notes
you play, you will hear all the strings of the piano reverberating. This is known as damper
resonance which is a natural reverberation that occurs inside the piano cabinet. This
feature lets you to adjust the damper resonance volume of the acoustic piano sounds.
In addition to damper & string resonance, an acoustic piano has a cabinet resonance that
occurs in the cabinet of the piano’s main unit. This feature allows you to set the cabinet
resonance. Cabinet resonances represent the resonances of the damper-free treble
strings (piano keys G6–C8) and the resonances delivered by the piano frame. When using
REVERB, the cabinet resonance effect is not applied, so the reverb effect should be turned
off. This feature applies only to the main voice.
An acoustic piano creates sound by striking its strings with hammers, which is called the
hammer sound. This parameter allows you to recreate the effect of the physical sound of
hammers hitting the strings and control its volume.
When tuning an acoustic piano, the low strings are tuned fractionally lower than their
original pitches, and the high strings fractionally higher, in order to accommodate the
frequency difference of the harmonic series that occurs depending on the tension and
stiffness of the strings. This acts to balance the pitches of the overtones and prevents
dissonance when playing multiple notes at once. This parameter allows you to recreate
this effect and turn it on or off.

The 3D surround sound effect maximises the stereo effect of the HDP-1’s speakers,
creating the feel of a three-dimensional performance space.
Adjust the level of the low, low-mid, high-mid and high frequency bands for fine-tuning
the HDP-1’s sound exactly to your preference.
The piano has a total of six preset EQ options along with a user EQ option.
Frequency Bands:
Low: 100Hz
Low-Mid: 800Hz
High-Mid: 3.5Hz
High: 5kHz
