The HDP-1 features a versatile auto accompaniment system that can
provide rhythmic accompaniment to a diverse range of musical genres.
Either drum beats only or chordal accompaniment (drums and chord
parts together) can be selected, both providing a great way to add
depth to your piano performances.
Starting Auto Accompaniment
1. Drum Beat only – after selecting a rhythm, press the START/
STOP button on the playback screen to start and stop the drum
accompaniment.
2. Chordal Accompaniment – after selecting a rhythm, turn on the
ACCOMP button and play a chord in the low range
(piano keys A0 to F#3).
There are four types of chord input methods:
1. Single Finger – enter chords of up to three keys.
2. Fingered – the full chord is only detected when it is correctly played
in the low range (piano keys A0 to F#3).
3. Multi-Finger (Default) – both Single Fingered and Fingered methods
can be used in this mode.
4. Full Keyboard – this mode recognises chords played on all
piano keys.
