The following system settings can be adjusted:

Most western instruments use the equal temperament system for tuning but other
systems have been used historically. The HDP-1 can be set to the following systems:
Equal Temperament
The most widely used system of tuning which features equal ratios of frequency between
all semitones.
Pure Major / Pure Minor
A tuning system that strictly follows the natural overtones, which sets the frequency ratio
between two notes to small integers. This scale produces the purest triads (I, IV, V)
Pythagorean
This system is constructed purely on the basis of octaves and fifths, which produces the
purest fifths and fourths, but destabilises thirds.
Mean Tone
The mean-tone system was developed to address the impure thirds issue by slightly
“narrowing” the fifths.
Werckmeister / Kirnberger
These tuning systems were created by combining the Mean Tone and Pythagorean
systems, in which each musical key possesses its own characteristic.
Arabic 1 / Arabic 2
The tuning system used for traditional Arabic music.
REGIST BANK - A A-E Select the memory bank to store settings
KEEP SETTING - OFF ON/OFF If enabled, all changes to settings will be saved and retained if the piano is turned off/on.
AUTO POWER-OFF - 30 OFF/30/60/120/240 mins Allows the piano to power off after a period of inactivity, to save energy.
LCD CONTRAST - 0 -20 ~ +20 Allows the brightness of the LCD screen to be adjusted.
RESET - - YES/NO If selected an confirmed, all settings and parameters return to their default values,
excluding LCD CONTRAST and AUTO POWER-OFF.
