into its respective slot using your right thumbnail to push the conductor in so that it stays.
Proceed across until all conductors are inserted.
6. Place the termination cap on as shown in Figure 22. Then press down firmly until the cap
snaps into place. Do not untwist the conductors more than ½” from the point of termination.

7. Looking at the receptacle from behind, insert the terminated module into the upper left slot
(Figure 23).
8. Terminate the second CAT5e cable (the blue cable) using the other CAT5e Connector and
insert it into the upper right port on the receptacle.

Terminating RG6 Quad Shield Coax Cable
Connections should be terminated using FutureSmart recommended tools to assure reliable low-
loss terminations. The Stripping Tool will assure that 5/16” of copper wire tip and 1/8” foil are
properly exposed. The Crimp Tool will assure a strong connector bond through the proper
alignment of the cable and connector ends. Make sure, before crimping, that the braid does not
make contact with the copper center conductor. When inspecting terminated connectors, make
certain the dielectric center has been pushed flush with the bottom inside of the connector.
Improper terminations will result in poor signal performance.
