CD/DVD Drive Problems
Problem: The CD/DVD drive cannot read a disk.
Solution • Make sure that the disk is not damaged or defective.
• Make sure that the disk is correctly seated in the tray.
• Make sure that the disc is not dirty. Clean the disk with a
CD cleaning kit, available in most computer stores.
• Make sure that the system supports the disk type or file system.
Problem: You cannot eject a disk.
Solution Manually release the disk following this method:
1. Turn off the system.
2. Insert a small rod, such as a straightened paper clip; into the
drive’s manual eject hole and push firmly to release the tray.
3. Pull the tray out until fully extended to remove the disk.
