The ComPoint in the AC Mode

Scan

The scan function searches the environment for available wireless
networks. It displays the following values of all access points that
were found:

•

Network name (SSID) of the discovered access points

•

MAC address of the discovered access points

•

Channel on which the discovered access points are operated

•

Signal strength of the link to the discovered access point

•

Operating mode of the discovered access points Access points with
activated encryption are displayed as AP, ENC.

•

Privacy (encryption) of the discovered access points
• No means that encryption is not enabled at the access point.
• Yes means that encryption is enabled.

•

Profile:
• b only: Access point only operates according to 802.11b
• g only: Access point only operates according to 802.11g
• mixed: Access point is able to operate both according to 802.11b

and 802.11g.
