5.3.13  Testing PC Connection

 

Use this function to perform a ping test on the PC connected to the instrument to check if it is 
properly connected.

 

 

5.3.13.1 Test Method

 

(1)  Connect the VS-1500 to the network as described below. 

 

(2) Press 

the    (Menu) key to open the [Top Menu], then touch [Initial Setting/Maintenance]

[Network and Master ID Setting]. Enter the IP address for the VS-1500 and VS-PC in the setup 
window that appears. 

 

(3) Press 

the    (Menu) key to open the [Top Menu], then touch [Initial Setting/Maintenance]

 [ping Test] to open the [ping Test] window. 

 

(4)  Touch [Start/End] to start the test. Touching [Start/End] during a test will cancel the test. Touching 

[Start/End] again allows you to successively perform frequency and error count checks. 

 

(5)  Touch [Reset] to reset frequency and error count to "0".
