12.1  Guidance to Electromagnetic Compatibility 

 

The VS-1500 complies with the Safety Standard IEC 60601-1-2 (2001). However, if a portable 
transmitter, telemetry LAN unit or the like is used right by the instrument, it may receive an 
electromagnetic wave far exceeding the value stipulated in the Standard, adding noise to the 
waveforms or causing other erratic behavior. 

 

Therefore be sure to use the instrument in the range specified by each individual healthcare institution.

 

If unexpected waveform noise occurs or there is interference from surrounding equipment, stop using 
the instrument and consult an expert for advice. 

 

 

Information concerning the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of the VS-1500 is provided below.

 

(Make sure that the VS-1500 is used in the environment described in this instruction manual.)
