7 Operating the BS2000 console
Selecting the console window
At the operator terminal, you enter system operating mode by clicking the window
CONS0 #1<computer name> with the left mouse button.
System operation
When the BS2000 console window is opened, no input is permitted. If you attempt to make
an entry, you are prompted to release the window by entering the valid password. You do
this using the MENU function.
Press the key to display the main KVP function menu.

Use the keys , or the corresponding digits and to select and start the functions
provided on the main KVP function menu.
Ê Select function 1 and press the key.
Ê Enter the password for the cons0 user ID. Confirm your input by pressing the
key.
You can then enter BS2000 commands or respond to queries from the BS2000 system.
Your input is transferred to BS2000 when you press the
key.
You will find further information on the functionality of the main KVP function menu
and on using special key functions in “BS2000 CONSOLE mode” in the “SINIX-
2000 V7.5/V8.0“ [1] manual.
