4.3.2 Using the Boot Menu Program
The Boot Menu program is a built-in configuration program that you can use to
temporarily redefine the first startup device without changing settings in the
Configuration/Setup Utility program.
To use the Boot Menu program, complete the following steps:
Ê Turn off the server.
Ê
Restart the server.
Ê Press
[F12]

Ê Select the startup device.
The next time the server is started, it returns to the startup sequence that is set
in the Configuration/Setup Utility program.
4.3.3 Passwords
For protecting your system and your data internally from unauthorized access,
you can use the BIOS Setup security functions.
The System Security menu in BIOS Setup offers you various options for protecting
your data from unauthorized access. By combining these options, you can
achieve optimum protection for your system.
This choice is on the full Configuration/Setup Menu utility only.
If you set only a power-on password, you must type the power-on password to
complete the system startup, and you have access to the full Configu-
ration/Setup Utility menu.
An administrator password is intended to be used by a system administrator; it
limits access to the full Configuration/Setup Utility menu. If you set only an
administrator password, you do not have to type a password to complete the
system startup, but you must type the administrator password to access the
Configuration/Setup Utility menu.
If you set a power-on password for a user and an administrator password for a
system administrator, you can type either password to complete the system
startup. A system administrator who types the administrator password has
access to the full Configuration/Setup Utility menu; the system administrator
can give the user authority to set, change, and delete the power-on password.
