Mounting the Server in the Rack

CAUTION!

Please take note of the safety information and the notes on mounting the
server in the rack in the chapter “Important Notes” on page 17.

At least two people are needed to position the server in the rack.

The rack may tip over if more than one heavy unit is removed.

For mounting the server in the rack the following parts are necessary:

–

one support bracket (3 HU) with two M5x10 screws with integrated
plugwashers.

–

one rack mounting kit consisting of two telescopic rails (left/right), ready for
use, including 8 screws with integrated plugwashers.

–

Two knurled screws and cage nuts for fastening the front panel of the server
to the rack.

General Information is provided in the Technical Manual for the PRIME-

CENTER Rack (see also “Related Publications” on page 133).

For better orientation, the height units are marked on the support

uprights.
