Depending on the model, the PC is equipped with an IEEE1394 (DV) terminal, where you can
connect a digital video camera.
With a digital video camera connected, the PC can display the photographed images.
IMPORTANT NOTE
•
Use a DV cable with 4-pin connectors for connection between the digital video camera and
the PC. Those having 6-pin connectors cannot be used.

14 Using Digital Video Camera (depend on model)
This section describes connection of a digital video camera to the IEEE1394 (DV) terminal on the
right side of the PC.
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK
•
To connect/remove a digital video camera, be sure to switch the PC power off and
disconnect the AC adapter beforehand. Otherwise you may undergo an electric shock.
CAUTION
FAILURE
•
When connecting cables, read this instruction to avoid misconnection.
If the PC is used with a wrong connection, the PC and/or the digital video camera
may be damaged.

Switch the PC power off and disconnect the AC adapter.

Connect a commercial DV cable to the IEEE1394 (DV) terminal on the right side of the PC.
Firmly insert the commercial DV cable to the IEEE1394 (DV) terminal on the PC.

Connect the DV cable to the digital video camera.
Refer to the digital video camera manual for this connection.

Connect the AC adapter to the PC and switch the PC power on.

Connect the power cable to the digital video camera and switch the video camera power
on.
The driver of the digital video camera is automatically installed when the PC is booted.
