Set the MAIN switch off.
Slide the MAIN switch in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Critical Points
If you do not use the PC for a long time after this, remove the AC adapter and the battery
pack.

For Windows 2000:

Click on the “Start” button then the “Shutdown” option.
The “Windows shutdown” dialog box will appear.

Select “Shutdown” then click on “OK”.
The PC power will automatically be switched off.
Critical Points
If you do not set the MAIN switch off after Step 2 above, you can switch the PC power on
again simply by pressing the SUS/RES switch.
If you select “Restart” on the screen displayed in Step 1, the PC can be restarted. Restarting
means that the PC once deletes the data that has been put in the memory and re-reads the
operation system from the floppy disk or the hard disk.
To use the one-touch button, do not take Step 3 below.
Selecting “Standby” or “Pause” on the screen displayed in Step 1 causes the PC to enter the
power saving mode.
Alternatively, you may switch the PC power off according to the following procedures:

Press [Delete] key while holding down [Ctrl] and [Alt] keys.
The “Windows security” dialog box will appear.

Click on “Shutdown”.
The “Windows shutdown” dialog box will appear.

Select “Shutdown” and click on “OK”.
The PC power will automatically go off.
