5.6 Replacing a Redundant Power Supply

FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS LT40 S2/LT60 S2 LTO Library Installing, Starting Up and Maintaining

Replacing the power supply

Procedure

Unpack the new power supply from its package.

Slowly insert the new power supply into the bay, and align the connectors on the library
while supporting the power supply assembly.

Tighten the captive thumbscrews until the power supply is secure.

Replace the power cord cable.

Switch on power to the library (power button on the front panel).

End of procedure

Loosen the three screws on the library see

Figure 5.8

Unpack the redundant power supply from its package.

Slowly insert the new power supply into the bay (see

Figure 5.8

and align the connectors on the library while supporting the power supply assembly.

The second power supply can be installed without powering down the library.
