Troubleshooting and tips
The device cannot be switched off with the ON/OFF switch.
Cause Remedy
System crash ► Keep the on/off switch pressed for at least 4
seconds until the machine switches off.
Caution: This can lead to a loss of data!
This procedure does not allow the operating
system to shut down in an orderly way. The next
time the system is started there may well be
error messages.
Monitor remains blank
Cause Remedy
Power saving has been activated (screen is
blank) ► Press any key on the keyboard.

► Deactivate the screen saver. If
necessary, enter the appropriate
password.
or
► Alter the brightness and/or contrast until
you get a picture.
Brightness control is set to dark ► Adjust the brightness control.
Wrong setting for the monitor ► Restart the device.
► Press F8 while the system is booting.
► Start the system in protected mode.
► Set the correct value for the connected
monitor, as described in the operating
instructions for the monitor.
The screen display becomes darker The background lighting has a limited lifetime.
► If your screen display becomes too dark,
contact our Service Desk.
► Check the ambient temperature.
Message:
Frequency out of range:## kHz
/ ## HzPlease change the display mode
to 1920 x 1080 with 60 Hz
The input signal (horizontal frequency and
refresh rate) does not correspond to the
technical monitor data.
► Adjust the video frequency range using the
computer software (see documentation for
your computer or your display adapter)
► Adjust a different screen resolution using the
computer software (see documentation for
your computer or your display adapter).
