First Steps

Charging the Battery

Close the battery-chamber cover.

Charge the battery.

Connect the camera and AC power adapt-
er using the included USB cable. Then plug
the AC power adapter into a power outlet.

The Charging Indicator

The charging indicator is displayed in the center of the LCD monitor.

Charging indicator

Battery status

Action

Battery charging.

—

Battery fault.

Unplug the AC power adapter from the power

outlet and remove the battery.

The charging indicator will disappear when charging completes.

The camera operates in external power mode if the camera is turned on while
plugged into AC power.
