Chapter 8 Troubleshooting
Phenomenon Possible cause Countermeasure
A live image is not
displayed after freeze
mode is canceled during
examination. The system is malfunctioning
due to phenomena such as
static charges. Reset the processor and the light source.
If the image is not recovered, turn the
processor and the light source off,
straighten the bending section and then
pull out the endoscope slowly.
An image is suddenly
discolored during
examination. 1) The system is
malfunctioning due to
phenomena such as
electrostatic discharge.
2) The video signal cable is
broken or shorting.
3) The endoscope is
connected incompletely.

Reset the processor and the light source.
If the image is not recovered and it is
impossible to continue the examination,
turn the processor and the light source
off, straighten the bending section and
then pull out the endoscope slowly.
3) Withdraw the endoscope, ensure
that there is no foreign matter or dirt
on the receiving window or on the
communication window, and connect
the endoscope again.
The light turns off during
the examination. 1) The LG detection sensor is
faulty.
2) The LED is faulty.

If an image disappears during
examination, reset the processor and the
light source. If the image is not recovered,
turn the processor and the light source
off, straighten the bending section and
then pull out the endoscope slowly. Stop
using the equipment, and consult your
local FUJIFILM dealer.
Note • Reset: Turn off the processor and the light source, and wait for at least 5 seconds.
Turn on the processor and the light source again, and then, turn on the light by
pressing the Light button.
