Print Driver Settings
Configuration Tab Settings
This section describes the settings in the [Configuration] tab. * is the default setting.
• Settings
Bi-Directional Setup button
The [Bi-Directional Setup] dialog box is displayed. You can setup bi-directional communication via a connected
printer port.

You can set whether to get information, such as installed options and tray settings from the printer automatically.
Get Information from Printer
When the printer is connected via a printer port that enables the communication between the printer and the
computer, click [Get Information from Printer] to confirm the status of the option products of the printer. The status is
shown in [Installable Options] of the [Configuration] tab.
NOTE:
• You can also set the options manually in the [Installable Options] dialog box.
Network Address
The printer address obtained by clicking [Get Information from Printer] is displayed if the printer is connected by
TCP/IP.
Get Printer Information Automatically
Specify whether to get tray settings from the printer automatically when the print driver is opened.

The [Installable Options] dialog box is displayed. You can set the options that are installed in the printer.
