2.3 Restrictions
for
IPU-
Ⅱ
See 2.2 “Specifications of IPU-II”. The following are the additional restrictions.
In ADOT03 and ADIV03, the simultaneous ON rate is restricted due to the temperature rise of modules themselves. The
operating temperature within the cabinet is maximum 55
C. If ADOT03 and ADIV03 are used at 50
C or over, restrict the
simultaneous ON rate to 50% or less. (Condition: simultaneous ON rate
50%)
For AAIS01, no module of 3W or more in heat value can be mounted in the neighboring slot. In addition, for mounting, the
following precautions must be observed to maintain the cold-junction compensation accuracy.
(1) The equipment must be mounted in the position where it is not influenced by surrounding heat. No heating unit must be
placed immediately below the node.
(2) Do not install the equipment in a place where it is directly exposed to the air current of a ventilation fan, etc.
(3) Do not mount a module in a slot adjacent to the bus interface module (BIM).
(4) Do not mount a module in a slot immediately adjacent to the module of 3W or more in heat value.
(5) For the thermocouple or compensating wire connected to the terminal block, use that of 1.25 sq or less in wire diameter.
However, wires of same diameter must be used in one terminal block.
(6) When connecting thermocouples or compensation wires to the terminal block, connect them starting from CH1 one by one.
2.4 Connecting Existing IPU-
Ⅱ
Devices
The following connection method is available.
In an ACS IPU-II system, only the master ACS can be changed to the "XCS-3000 + NA" configuration, and the slave IPU-II
devices can be used unchanged.
For IPU-II configuration, see "1.2 System configuration".
