Filling / emptying the water tank
Mode of operation:
Water is moved between the "storage" and "active" chambers of the
tank. Your rower can be adjusted to the desired resistance by turning a knob. To achieve
minimum resistance, select "1" on the tank adjuster. It takes 10 strokes to fill the middle
(storage) tank, leaving a minimum amount of water in the outer (active) tank. This
procedure is required whenever minimum resistance is desired. Row at a steady speed
(20 to 25 strokes per minute [SPM]). You can adjust the resistance while rowing - the tank
will then adjust to the increase in resistance, but it will take up to 10 strokes for the central
(storage) tank to fill up.
To fill the water tank,
first turn the tank adjuster to
level 5
.
Remove the rubber filling plug from the top of the tank and place a large bucket of water
next to the machine. Position the siphon pump [7] with the rigid hose in the bucket and the
flexible hose in the tank. Make sure that the small bleed valve on the siphon pump is closed
before filling.
Now press the siphon pump to start filling.
Important!
Do not overfill the tank! Observe the sticker with the filling level on the
underside of the tank! Maximum filling level: 17
When the tank is full, open the valve at the top of the siphon pump to allow excess water
to escape. After filling, follow the water treatment instructions below and then replace the
tank plug.
FIRST WATER TREATMENT
Add 1 x water treatment tablet per full tank. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
USE A WATER TREATMENT TABLET OTHER THAN THE ONE SUPPLIED WITH YOUR
MACHINE! Your machine comes with 4 x water treatment tablets, which are sufficient for
several years of operation. To purchase additional water purification tablets, please contact
customer service. We also recommend using distilled water if the tap water quality in your
area is known to be poor.
