CAUTION
It is good practise to connect the receiver to other appliances (e.g. TV, VCR, DVD, etc.) and the antenna before
plugging in the mains lead. When the receiver is powered electrical voltage differences may be created when
plugging in the jacks, which may generate currents that could damage the appliances.
2.4.1 TV Connection
The connection can be done via SCART (standard definition) or via HDMI (high definition). If the receiver is connec-
ted to television via HDMI and there are issues on having a clear screen output, try to use SCART connection and
to change video resolution.
CAUTION
The direct TV Scart connection should always be used as a first operating test
since other more complex
connection sequences involving video recorders, DVD players, etc, may give malfunctions that are not caused
by faults or defects of the actual appliances but by problems of incompatibility.
2.4.2 HI-FI Audio System
Connecting coaxial digital audio output to a home-theatre audio system (S/PDIF connector):
CAUTION
In order to have digital audio output working correctly, check configuration of S/PDIF.
