MAKING CONNECTIONS:
To make a connection you can simply drag the desired input to the output or vice versa, but you
should know that the default operation of the Matrix switcher is audio follows video. Therefore, if
you only drag an input to an output you’re going to establish an audio and video connection. If you
desire to only route an audio or video source to an output, you can right-click on the input or output
and go to “Connect”. After you’ve gone to the connect menu you can simply choose the input or
output you desire from the drop down menu (see images below). Then select the check box for the
connection you desire, if it’s video or audio. You can also select both check boxes to establish an
A/V connection. Depending on whether you choose to get to the connect menu through the input or
output, the respective drop down menu will be disabled. Also, connections between different groups
and protected outputs cannot be made, therefore make sure you define your groups before routing
anything and protect your outputs after routing (see
I/O group and protect output sections).
