When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
•
Read all instructions before using any new appliance.
• DO NOT PULL DOWN ON THE LID. USE THE SAFETY LATCH ON THE RIGHT-
HAND SIDE OF THE MACHINE TO CLOSE THE LID. FAILURE TO DO THIS MAY
RESULT IN DAMAGING THE FRYAIR LID.
•
Do not touch hot surfaces.
•
Before using an electrical appliance, check your local voltage corresponds with the
specifications showing on the appliance name plate located under the appliance.
•
To protect against electric shock, do not immerse power cords, or appliances in water or other
liquid.
•
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by children or near children.
•
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
or has been damaged in any may. If the plug does not fit, contact a qualified electrician for
assistance. Do not attempt to force or modify the plug in any way.
•
Do not use an appliance for anything other than its intended purpose.
OTHER IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS FOR THIS APPLIANCE
•
Do not allow children to use this appliance.
•
The appliance should be operated on separate electrical circuit from other operating
appliances. If the electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, this appliance may not
work properly.
•
Use extreme caution when moving a cooking pot containing hot food.
•
Do not let the electrical cord hang over the edge of the table, counter, or touch any hot surface.
•
Place the appliance securely in the centre of the counter or work space.
•
Use appropriate handles to lift or move this appliance and the accessories once all items have
cooled.
•
The use of non genuine or aftermarket accessory attachments is not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer and may cause injuries.
•
Do not operate on a non-heat resistant glass, wood cooking surface, or a table cloth. It is
imperative that a heat resistant cooking surface with heat resistant finish be placed beneath this
unit.
•
When not in use and before cleaning, always ensure the appliance is turned “OFF” and
unplugged from the mains power supply. Before putting on or taking off accessory attachments,
allow the unit to cool first.
•
Do not place appliance near hot gas or an electric burner, or in a heated oven.
•
Do not clean the unit with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and short-circuit
electrical parts, creating the possibility of an electrical shock and damaging the appliance.
•
To protect against electric shock, cook only in the non-stick cooking pot and genuine FryAir
accessories.
•
The appliance is for indoor, household use only. Do not use outdoors.
•
Pull down the lid release button before attempting to close the lid.
•
