TROUBLE SHOOTING
Smoke Alarm activates but Control
Panel does not respond:
1 ) I n te r fa c e Mo du l e b at te ri es
missing or low - replace with
new batteries and test.
2 ) Interface Module batteries
incorrectly fitted – refit batteries
with correct polarity and test.
3 ) I n c o r r e c t h o u s e c o d e D I P
switch settings, (DIP 1-8).
4 ) D I P s w i t c h e s 9 a n d 1 0
incorrectly set – set DIP 9 to

and DIP 10 to
0
positions.
6) Jumper Link S1 incorrectly set
–
ensure link is fitted across pins
“G” and “C”.
7) Jumper Link S2 missing – refit
link.
8) Interface Module not properly
connected to Smoke Alarm
–
check for correct wiring
connection and ensure wires
are not damaged or broken.
9) Control Panel not within range
of Smoke Alarm & Interface

Metal barrier between
Control Panel and Interface
Module
–
Do not mount Interface Module
on any metallic object
–
Do not put metallic objects
between the Interface Module
and Control Panel.

Note:
Before removing the cover of
the Interface Module first put the
alarm Control Panel into Test
M o d e t o a v o i d t r i g g e r i n g a n
alarm. Remember to return the
alarm to Standby after replacing the
batteries.
