DEMO9S08QE8 User Manual

Connects the microcontroller PTB0/RXD signal to the Embedded
Multilink SCI circuitry. This is the default setting.

Connects the microcontroller PTB1/TXD signal to the RS232
transceiver.

Multilink SCI circuitry. This is the default setting.
