Setting the type of ﬂash synchronisation

Keeping button beside the hot shoe

depressed will make “Flash” appear on the
handgrip display

. It is then possible to set

the desired type of ﬂash synchronization using
the scroll dial

Due to the use of between-the-lens shutters,
ﬂash is synchronized with all available shutter
speeds. At speeds faster than

250

s, there will

be no difference between leading and trailing
synchronisation.

FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY

Note

Since studio ﬂash units may have considerably
longer response and burning times than com-
pact or handle-mount ﬂash units, slower shutter
speeds than

250

s may cause the ﬂash to ﬁre

too late and light beyond the end of shutter-
open time. Please consult the operating instruc-
tions supplied with your ﬂash equipment.
