Chapter 5 Directions for Bundled Software
Change Performance Settings
Selecting this task will open a simple mechanism for managing the performance of
the system. It displays the current profile assigned for a given performance category
(Business, Gaming, or Relaxed), and the actions that invoke the profile.
Launch the NV Profile Manager wizard
Use new application and profile
Note:
It is necessary to first run the NVPE(NVPerformance
Examiner) wizard before trying the manage system
performance, since it will create the profiles used.
The user may pull-down the profile menu, and select a different profile. The list
will be built from profiles currently existing in the profile directory. The user may
also select
“
Choose profile
”
, which will launch an explorer window.
The user may also add applications to the action list by selecting
“
New appli-
cation
”
from the list window, which will launch an explorer window. Finally, they
may remove any action by selecting it and deleting it from the list.
