Chapter 3 BIOS Description
1.Standard CMOS Features
1.1 Date
This option allows you to set the desired date (usually as the current day) with
the <day><month><date><year> format.

1.2 Time
This option allows you to set up the desired time (usually as the current time)
with <hour><minute><second> format.
1.3 SATA Channel 1/2/3/4/5/6,IDE Channel Master/Slave,e-SATA channel1/2
These categories identify the HDD types of 1 IDE channel installed in the com-
puter system. There are three choices provided for the Enhanced IDE BIOS:
None, Auto, and Manual.

means no HDD is installed or set;

Auto

means
the system can auto-detect the hard disk when booting up; by choosing

Manual
”
and changing Access Mode to

CHS
”
, the related information should be entered
manually. Enter the information directly from the keyboard and press < Enter>:

Award (Phoenix) BIOS can support 3 HDD modes: CHS, LBA and Large or Auto
mode.
