865M01G/PE/GV User Manual

Advanced BIOS Features Setup

Hard Disk Boot Priority

This option is used to select the priority for HDD startup. After pressing <Enter>,
you can select the HDD using the <PageUp>/<PageDn> or Up/Down arrow
keys, and change the HDD priority using <+> or <->; you can exit this menu by
pressing <Esc>.

Virus Warning (Default: Disabled)

Allows you to choose the VIRUS warning feature for IDE Hard Disk boot sector
protection. If this function is enabled and someone attempt to write data into
this area, BIOS will show a warning message on screen and an alarm will
beep. The available setting values are: Disabled and Enabled.
Note: Such function provides protection to the startup sector only; it does not
          protect  the entire hard disk.

CPU L1 & L2 Cache (Default: Enabled)

This option is used to turn on or off the  L1 and L2 CPU cache. The available
setting values are: Disabled and Enabled.

Hyper-Threading Technology (Default: Enabled)

This option is used to turn on or off the Hyper-threading function of the CPU.
The available setting values are: Disabled and Enabled.
Note: This function will not be displayed until a CPU that supports Hyper-
         Threading has been installed.

Quick Power On Self Test (Default: Enabled)

Enable this item to shorten the power on testing (POST) and have your system
start up faster. The available setting values are: Disabled and Enabled.
