10. Position the T-harness inside the IP.

NOTE:

It is recommended to identify all vehicle wires that will be connected before making any permanent
connections. If all wires cannot be located, call 1-800-FORDKEY.

NOTE:

Review the proper wire splicing techniques prior to proceeding.

11. Identify the Yellow/Red wire that is located on the T-harness. Cut back and tape this wire to the T-

harness. It will not be used for this application.

12.

NOTE:

A DVOM connected to the correct wire will show ~0V with the door closed, then show ~12V when
the door is opened.
A logic probe will show ground on the correct wire with the door closed, then show power when the
when the door is opened.

Identify the Lt. Green rear driver's side door ajar switch wire located in the harness coming down
from the IP (behind the carpet), and headed into the driver’s door sill plate.
