5. Place ember flakes around front and sides

of burner and on burner ports (see Figure

30). This will create the glowing ember ap

-

pearance as the flame touches the ember

flakes. Do not block burner ports or pilot

ports by overlapping ember flakes in one

area. It is not necessary to use all ember

material provided.

6. Place scrap log pieces randomly behind

grate as shown in Figure 31 on lava rock

and around (but not on) burner ports.

7. Place grate in front of logs as shown in

Figure 31. Be sure grate is balanced so it

does not fall or lean onto logs. Grate does

not attach to hearth assembly.
