EXPLANATION OF SETUP-MENU 5 - FLOWMETER
The F018-P is able to handle several types of input signal. The type of flowmeter pickup / signal is
selected with SETUP 5.1. Read also paragraph 4.6.1 Terminals 1-3: Flowmeter input.

EXPLANATION OF SETUP-MENU 6 - LINEARIZATION
The linearization function is available to approach the real flow curve better as with the general K-
factor (KF0) entered with setup 1.4 and 2.4. This to obtain a more accurate flow rate, total and
accumulated total as well as a pulse output at any flowmeter frequency.
A maximum of 8 linearization-positions can be entered while the interpolation will calculate any other
position in-between.
For each linearization position, the frequency and a Meter Factor (MF) must be entered.
The Meter Factor for each frequency is calculated with following formula:
Meter Factor =
K-Factor at Flow rate X
KF0
The lowest frequency and MF you enter will be valid from 0Hz. The highest frequency and MF will
be valid till 10KHz. It is advised to enter the frequencies in increasing order, however it is not
necessary. Please have a look at following example to understand the method of linearization.
