Step 4. Connect the blue 1/4-inch water line from the delivery faucet by insert-
ing it into the quick connect fitting on the right side of the water filter.
Step 5. Reset the water meter on the filter by turning the knob clockwise until
you reach 1000. Open the handle on the saddle valve by turning

How to Use Faucet
For a controlled flow of water, push the black handle down. For constant
water flow, flip the black handle up.
Prolonged Periods of Non-use
If the system has not been used for several days or weeks, flush it thoroughly
before returning it to service.
1. Flip the black faucet handle up to allow constant flow.
2. Let water run for 5-6 minutes.
When to Change Filter Cartridges
The dial on the water meter indicates the number of gallons remaining that the
unit can filter.
NOTE: If, after several months, the dial has not turned (arrow is still aligned
with the ‘1000’ on the dial), consult a Flotec customer service representative.
Unit should have a service life of about one year under normal conditions and
usage. When the arrow on the Water Metering Valve approaches the “OFF”
position, or if the unit shuts off automatically, change both filter cartridges.
If undesirable taste and odor return to the water before the indicator reaches
the “OFF” position of the dial, change both cartridges and clean both sumps as
described below.
NOTE: Reset Metering Dial each time the cartridges are changed. (See Step 8
below.)
Filter Cartridge Changing Procedure
Step 1. Turn off water to unit by turning saddle valve handle clockwise.
Release water pressure by depressing the red pressure relief button on
the head of the cartridge housing.
Step 2. Unscrew the two sumps and discard old cartridges.
Step 3. Rinse out sumps and fill each sump about 1/3 full of water.
Step 4. Add one capful of 5% household bleach (5% sodium hypochlorite).
To avoid burns from bleach, follow bleach manufactur-
er’s instructions for using bleach.
Step 5. Scrub with a brush or sponge.
Step 6. Rinse thoroughly and insert new cartridges.
Step 7. Screw sumps back onto heads and hand tighten securely.
Step 8. Reset the water meter on the filter by turning the knob clockwise until
you reach 1000. Open the handle on the saddle valve by turning
counter-clockwise and test for leaks. Thoroughly flush the filter by run-
ning water for 10 minutes.
NOTE: Turn the knob on the water meter clockwise only.
